From 11 to 15 September, we will organize a retreat in the Dhammakaya temple in Switzerland, address Gumm 4, 3508 Arni. This is the first European-wide retreat in Dhammakaya style, and it is a little longer than the retreats in the Netherlands and Belgium. Teachings and guidance will be given by in English several teachers, including luang phi Sander from The Netherlands and luang phi Pasura from Thailand.

Main language used is English, but some activities may be translated in German or held in both languages, when there is sufficient interest.

The daily schedule will run as follows:

5.00 am Morning meditation, exercise
7.00 am Breakfast
9.00 am Meditation and teaching
11.30 am Early lunch
2.00 pm Meditation and teaching
5.00 pm Break
7.30-9.00 pm Meditation and teaching

As you can see, lunch is held early and no dinner is served, following monastic tradition.

This retreat is held as a cooperative effort by several centers in the Dhammakaya tradition. You can register here. The costs of the retreat can be paid to a Dhammakaya center near your area. (For a list, see here.) The registration fee is 100 Swiss Franc (89 euro; 79 pounds). Applications will be accepted in order of payments received. 50 people can be accepted as a maximum.

Participants are requested to wear comfortable clothes (for example, no tight jeans). It is important to wear clothes appropriate for a retreat setting. And also, if you’d like, you can bring your own meditation cushion to sit on.

When arriving at the centre, pick up services can be provided for Basel and Bern, provided you tell us in advance.
